Abstract
The results of 2nd year studies on Korean cockroaches are summarized as follows:
1. LT 50 values (in time) of german cockroach adults(male and female mixed) by Topical Application Method were: DDVP (0.1%), 0.51; Dibrom (0.1%), 1.93; Diazinon (0.5%), 1.93; Fenitrothion (0.5%), 2.60; Dursban (0.1%), 3.10; r-BHC (0.5%), 3.58; Malathion (2.0%), 3.85; Dipterex (1.0%), 5.20; Dieldrin (0.5%), 20,00; and DDT (4.0%), 38.00.
Comparing with CT values, german cockroaches showed a resistance to DDT (152.00) and tolerances to malathion (7.7), Dieldrin (10.0) and Dipterex (5.2).
2. Residual spray of 5% Sumithion, Dursban and Diazinon (2g/§³) by about one thrid coverage out of total surface of room wall showed complete control of german cockroaches for six months of the observation period. But residual spray of 5% malathion showed and appearence of german cockroaches in the treated room for three weeks continuously.
